The richness in the talent of Bristol’s artistic community is energetic, exciting and continually re-inventing itself and we believe that a fashion show is an ideal opportunity for designers and artists to showcase their own particular talents.
The show’s founder, who alongside a team of equally passionate volunteers, shares a desire to showcase the vibrant diversity that is Bristol’s creative scene. Our aim is to celebrate the magically eclectic mix of Bristol based talent by putting on an event whereby people from all areas of the arts are offered an opportunity to display their skills and imagination to the public.
Our aim is to encourage our community and local designers to engage and get involved in more of what they love to do by highlighting some of the incredible hidden talents that Bristol holds. Whether that is in the fashion and art world or something totally different. This fashion show is just the start of a dream to bring people who share interests and talents together in a way that forwards a vision of a real community effort to give everyone the opportunity to connect and expand. We want to do this by bringing together not only the designers, but photographers, hair and makeup artists, models and everyone else that contributes to making this dream happen.
This dream originated at Hamilton House in Stokes Croft, Bristol. Triggered by a real sense of togetherness within the beautiful but small creative community Hamilton House is home to. This inspired us to take this dream to a higher level and reach out further into the wider community, starting with Bristol.
We’ve had the privilege of hosting 4 fashion shows in previous years at Hamilton house. These events have been incredibly successful, going beyond all expectations. They have each held their own unique values, inspiring more and more people as they progressed by building confidence, creating beautiful friendships and just generally creating its very own legacy and bringing together people who share a similar passion.
This is the beginning of our very first Bristol Fashion Show and we would love more than anything to share the experience with all of you.
